Program Description:
Welcome to the CU Denver International College Beijing Semester Study Abroad scholarship! The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is offering several very generous ($2,000 - $5,000) scholarships for study in Beijing. These scholarships are available to CU Denver students only.  Applicants must have applied and/or been accepted into the CU Denver Global Semester in Beijing program.  The scholarship is only available for the semester program and, should a student withdraw or not be admitted to the program, the funds will return to the university.

Only applications fully completed and submitted by the deadline will be considered.

The review committee's decision is final and may not be appealed.

Students will also be requested to prepare a service project that supports the university's efforts to encourage CU Denver students to globalize their education.  The service project must be completed within a semester of returning to Denver.

Students will be evaluated on the the following:
  • Motivation as expressed through their essay;
  • Commitment to expanding their education, personal and professional goals through study in China;
  • Interest in building positive relationships between CU Denver and our Chinese partners;
  • Creativity in sharing their experiences with other CU Denver students.
Financial need and student's academic performance will also receive consideration. Receipt of scholarships may impact your financial aid package.  Please be sure to discuss the scholarship's implications with the Office of Financial Aid, Jennifer Helgeson:  Jennifer.Helgeson@ucdenver.edu

We encourage all CU Denver students interested in study in China to apply for the scholarship!
