Expansion in global communication, travel and trade has increased the need for clinical and public health professionals who understand health issues that transcend national and continental borders.

On April 25th, 2015 Nepal suffered a devastating earthquake that killed over 8,000 people and injured thousands more. As one of the poorest nations in Southeast Asia, the earthquake has put a huge strain on the country’s already fragile health care system. Numerous NGO’s have begun the recovery process and implemented programs intended to provide a stable platform for relief efforts. Now, one year following this tragic event, CU students have the opportunity to participate in learning how these programs have impacted the people of Nepal directly

This course will provide an elective intensive course that will give students first hand experience in a diverse setting that is poised for program development and partnerships with Western students.

Students from a wide span of academic disciplines are encouraged to apply!
